Islamorada Museum to host ‘Treasures of NOAA’s Ark’

The newest version of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's traveling exhibit “Treasures of NOAA’s Ark” has arrived at the Florida Keys History and Discovery Center in Islamorada. On the road since 2006, the exhibit features a vast array of artifacts including 18th-century maps and early scientific instruments. “Americans” Exhibit Opens at the National Museum of the American Indian

Need More Solar Eclipse Fix?

A new exhibit at the Princeton University Art Museum was inspired by the work of an extraordinary artist who harnessed both scientific knowledge and artistic practicality to produce mesmerizing paintings of the brief moments present in solar eclipses in the early 20th century. BREAKING NEWS! Manatees Flock to See Capitol Museum Service’s Exhibit Work at the Florida Power and Light Eco Discovery Center

The mercury dropped to a chilly 43 degrees early Tuesday in the city — the coldest temperature recorded at the airport this winter and one that left more than just South Florida’s human residents trying to stay warm. More than 60 manatees lolled in Florida Power & Light’s Manatee Lagoon, where the water was an inviting 86 degrees and offered a warm sanctuary on a morning that was 15 degrees cooler than what’s normal for this time of year.
